Dalailama Why Dalai Lama’s Twitter Account Suspended?

From Google :

The Dalai Lama Twitter account was a fake and imposter. Twitter co-founder Biz Stone reveals this in an email to the Associated Press.

Yesterday twittersphere was busy with Dalai lama followers, and because of it and something suspicious on Dalai Lama’s page, it has been suspended for ‘due to strange activity’.
This could mean several things:

  1. It was a fake account, set up by an imposter with no ties to His Holiness’s office.
  2. Twitter’s automated spam algorithm kicked in and automatically suspended it due to massive follow activity.
  3. A random glitch in the Twitter system.

Today I can open the Dalai Lama’s page , Twitter has open it again, look at the OHHDL account which has 19,874 followers ( 15:28PM )

Quantity VS Quality

in Twitter Tips

orange_apple Quantity VS QualityThose words are debatable on twitter, nothing wrong with those words, such comparing apple juice and orange juice. Some people like apple juice more because it doesn’t take a risk to get a very sour taste like orange juice.
Some people like orange juice more because it much vit C, but both apple and orange are good for your health.

Anyway the same way with Quality and Quantity followers on Twitter, both are good for your networking, they are essential.
So I really agree with combination of both quality and quantity followers. Quantity helps get more @ replies and RT’s to questions or tweets you send out, as opposed to having only “quality” followers who may not respond at all.

Having more followers leads to having even more followers. With more followers, you can find quality within the quantity.
Good luck to gain both quality and quantity followers.

dont_follow Follow or not To Follow

What your goal on twitter? Gain more traffic to your site or build your brand’s name?

The question is so critical, so I highly concern you to find your goal first, then find people who have the same interest.
People tends to follow people who has same interest, if you are new on twittersphere, here some tips for you:

  1. Find the famous people who have the same interest with you, just one people. (eg. blogging = Darren Rowse)
  2. Look how many followers do they have? Twitter is very much a meritocracy, and it tends to be the case that people with lots of followers are adding lots of value.
  3. Just follow peoples who follow they are, because they don’t follow if they don’t interest (eg. 70% Darren’s followers will interest with blogging too)
  4. For beginning just find bunch of followers, the more the better (Twitter will give the errors popup when you follow to much, so be patient don’t get suspended)
  5. After you have bunch of follower, ask them with your interest question, if your follower answer, finally you find the people who really the same interest and want to make relationship with you
  6. Maintenance is the hard thing, so build quality social networking instead quality.
